Social Economy Europe launches Awards for the best short films and audiovisual campaigns on the Social Economy

Social Economy Europe has launched an Awards competition aimed at students aged 18 to 30 from across Europe who are enrolled in programmes related to film, animation, journalism, audiovisual production, graphic design, illustration, advertising and communication.

The initiative seeks to bring the social economy closer to younger generations and encourage their involvement in building a more sustainable, inclusive and democratic society.

Under the slogan “Young people are shaping the present and future of the social economy“, the Awards aim to raise the visibility of this economic model among young people and promote a narrative based on solidarity.

The competition includes two categories: Best Short Film and Best Visual Campaign. Entries may be submitted individually or as a team.

Submission requirements

Entries must be original, produced entirely by their authors, and written in English. The competition rules explicitly state that content generated using artificial intelligence tools will not be accepted, and the use of such tools will result in the automatic disqualification of the submission.

Selected works may be used by Social Economy Europe for communication and non-commercial promotional purposes, provided that full credit is given to their creators.

Competition timeline

The deadline for submissions is 2 April 2027. The winners will be announced during the Social Economy Awards ceremony, which will take place on 31 May 2027 in Lisbon, Portugal.

For further information about the competition, enquiries can be sent to contact@socialeconomy.eu.org.
