Pour une économie de la réconciliation. Faire de l’ESS la norme de l’économie de demain

Pour une économie de la réconciliation. Faire de l’ESS la norme de l’économie de demain “: Jérôme Saddier, President of ESS France and vice-president of Social Economy Europe, releases a personal and political essay on how the SSE can and should be a lever for the global transformation of society.

The large-scale crisis we are experiencing reveals failures and inadequacies, social and environmental inequalities, and even strategic threats. To face this, the social and solidarity economy (SSE) offers its power of transformation. It contributes to the alternative needed to innovate and undertake in favour of an economy that operates on citizen energy, centred on needs of collective interest, committed to the reduction of inequalities and the ecological transition.

Moreover, SSE is at the forefront of the changes that the business world must undertake, in all its components, to be able to assume a more political role, at the service of the city.

As Jérôme Saddier says, “it is time for the SSE to fully play its role as an economy of reconciliation, the key to a more peaceful society: reconciliation between diverse issues, constraints, aspirations and interests. To do this, it must become aware of its capacity to drive and its strength”.

Its actors will find in this book reasons to do things greater than themselves.

Le Labo de l’ESS is organising a debate with Jérôme Saddier on his book “Pour une économie de la réconciliation” (For an economy of reconciliation) on 24 May from 6 to 7.30 pm at the Musée social – CEDIAS
