The Venetian Foundation for Peace Research and EURICSE call for applications for the Best Doctoral Thesis Award in memory of Professor Carlo Borzaga. The award is sponsored by the University of Trento and promoted in collaboration with the Cooperative Research Committee of the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA-CCR), the international EMES research network, and CIRIEC-International.
The award aims to promote studies that rigorously investigate how the cooperative model can strengthen democratic participation, reduce inequalities, and support the development of more cohesive and resilient communities, while also promoting conflict prevention and the peaceful management of conflicts.
In particular, the award encourages innovative studies, including critical and interdisciplinary ones, that offer new theoretical and empirical perspectives on the contribution of the social economy to peace, cohesion, and sustainable development.
