CIRIEC World Conference in Latin America, 13-16 April 2021 – 100% virtual event

The CIRIEC World Conference in Latin America is organised in virtual form from April 13 to 16, 2021 by CIRIEC-Brazil on the topic: “Social and Solidarity Economy as a model of inclusive,
sustainable and resilient development in a post-Covid world 19”

It will be the first 100% virtual event of CIRIEC, due to the pandemic. Centred on Latin America, a region of the planet in which there is great progress in the social and solidarity economy in recent years, it will address questions, such as:

  • How will the new technological instruments be used within SSE enterprises?
  • What will be the role of SSE in this scenario?
  • What is the role of SSE for the implementation of the SDGs in different territories?
  • What is SSE’s response to the economic impacts of COVID-19?.

18 working groups will be organized to deal with the most varied themes of Social and Solidarity Economy, cooperatives and public economy, with a special focus on the Latin American reality. Among the subthemes: Evaluation of SSE public policies; Financing and solidarity finance practices; Social movements and SSE networks ; Implementation and measurement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), etc.

A call for papers is available and the abstracts (300 words) are to be sent till March 15th. Abstracts and papers (submission by April, 30th) are accepted in English, French, Portuguese and Spanish.
