CIRIEC-Spain and GEAccounting present a new training course titled “Monetizing the Social Value Generated by Social Economy Entities”, with registration now open, directed by professors José Luis Retolaza (Deusto Business School) and Leire San José (University of the Basque Country). The course, which will be delivered online, aims to develop a social accounting system that allows monetizing the social value generated by an entity, breaking down the different types of value and the transfers to the various stakeholders.
The training will begin on October 9, with 10 training sessions, each lasting three hours, concluding on December 17, 2025. Students will receive in their email the link to the videoconferences (Download information brochure).
Among the goals set by the teaching team are to stimulate the organization’s orientation toward generated Social Value; to create the stakeholder map of the organization; to identify the value variables perceived by stakeholders and the proxies that allow the economic quantification of those value variables, and to determine the degree of materiality of the different variables.
Final project
As the culmination of the online seminar, students must submit their final project by January 30, 2026, consisting of the preparation of the social accounting for a social economy entity.
Accreditation in Social Accounting
Certification will be jointly issued by CIRIEC-Spain and GEAccounting, and the types of certification will depend on whether or not the final project is completed (Level 1. Certified User [OPEN]), or if it is completed (Level 2. Advanced User [ADVANCE]).
There is a possibility of publishing a book through the CIRIEC-Spain publishing house, with professors José Luis Retolaza and Leire San José as coordinators. The book will include, in chapter format, the works developed by the seminar’s students that meet the necessary quality for publication.
